May 5, 2021

Delaware Watercolor Society announced a juried exhibit of 32 paintings by 22 accomplished artists may be seen through Monday, May 31, at Nassau Valley Vineyards and Winery, 32165 Winery Way, Lewes, during vineyard business hours.

After careful consideration, juror Ellen Elmes, a signature member of the Virginia Watercolor Society and well-respected teacher and author, selected the qualifying paintings and determined the awards.

First place was awarded to Wendy Leddy for “The Path Taken,” while second place went to Joan Fabbri for “In the Carpenter’s Hands” and third place was awarded to Christine Heyse for “Bougainvillea.”

Merit awards were also given to Eileen Rosenthal for her painting “Ready to Serve” and to Nancy Mysak for “Peaches!”

Delaware Watercolor Society extends congratulations to the winners along with special thanks to Ellen Elmes, juror, and to Nassau Valley Vineyards and Winery for its continuous support. The society is a nonprofit organization originated in 2014 by a small group of artists interested in sharing their love of watercolor. Today, the society welcomes all levels of artists interested in all forms of water media.
