What the coastal region really needs

August 17, 2018

What we badly need in order to make the coastal region a more beautiful and pleasant place to live is dozens and dozens of new cul-de-sacs full of large "designer" stick houses clad in vinyl and phony-stone, surrounded by fountain-adorned drainage sumps and sweeping lawns of non-native grasses maintained by landscaper crews too poor to live here.

When all available land is packed full of these, everything will be perfect. As an added advantage, it will get rid of thousands of useless trees and the bluebirds, cardinals, owls, and other noisy wildlife nuisances that inhabit them. It's a win-win!

Luckily, thanks to our many industrious local developers, these needs are now being met with admirable speed and alacrity. Thank you, developers!
