What has happened to this country?

November 16, 2020

With regard to Tom Hess’ letter “In Defense of Mr. Schappert,” I read through all his babble, and I do mean babble.  But what was most disturbing was his last line of his letter when he was indicating that the “Leftist Democratic party should not push us too far because we might push back. See we have an ace up our sleeve.”  Is this intended to be a threat?  Because I certainly took it as a threat!  And if it was, I first want to say how disappointed I am in the Cape Gazette even publishing it, and second, how disappointed I am in anyone even writing something like this!   What has happened to this country?  Maybe I’m being oversensitive, but when you hear about home-grown militia gearing up for whatever, it does make you wonder.  I am so looking forward to a smart, normal, calming and presidential man like Joe Biden to get us back on track!  Jan. 20, 2021 can’t come soon enough!
