Willard Truitt Hill, had career in real estate

Willard Truitt Hill, 90, of Rehoboth Beach passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at Country Rest Home in Greenwood, surrounded by his family.  He was born Nov. 20, 1928, in Lewes, son of the late Harvey and S. Blanche Hill.

Mr. Hill was a proud veteran, having honorably served in the U.S. Army. Thereafter, he made his career in real estate.  Mr. Hill had many, varied interests, including the 3 Coin Coffee Club, golfing, fishing, duck hunting, and bridge. He also enjoyed spending winters in Florida. Above all, Mr. Hill cherished time spent with family and friends.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Hettie A. Hill, in 2012. He is survived by his sons: Jack Legg of Rehoboth Beach and Beau Hill of Ocean View; his daughters: Suzy Smarr (Bill) of Milford and Missy Legg (Bryan Cahill) of Lewes; his five grandchildren; his eight great-grandchildren; and his brothers-in-law: Isaac Fields (Nancy) of Camden and William F. Fields of Dover.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 2, from 2 to 4 p.m., at 2 State Road, Rehoboth Beach.  Burial will be private.  Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Lewes.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Mr. Hill's memory to Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company, 219 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach, DE  19971.
