William ‘Bill’ J. Falk Jr., retired engineer

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of William "Bill" J. Falk Jr., 78, of Millsboro.  Bill passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020, at his home surrounded by loving family and friends. He was born Jan. 3, 1942, in Queens, N.Y., son of the late William J. and Anna (Pollach) Falk.

Bill was a proud veteran, having honorably served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant in the Tank (Armor) Division. After his military service, he built a lifelong career as an engineer. Bill also taught calculus at NYU.  Prior to opening his own pump and tank business, he was a member of the Local #1 Plumbers & Pipefitters Union.  As a project engineer, one of his last projects, prior to retiring, was Yankees Stadium. Bill was an avid Yankees fan.

Bill will be remembered as the coordinator of IRSD Central Division Golf League. He loved golf and even attained a hole in one. As a member of American Legion Post 28, Bill enjoyed playing in the dart leagues. He was also a member of the Stonewater Creek Men’s Club.  Above all, Bill cherished time spent with those he held most dear. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Falk was preceded in death by his sister. He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Agnes (Cuches) Falk; his grateful children: Christian Brandt (Meghan), and Ronald Brandt (Jill Ann); his grandchildren: Christian ll, Tyler and Gabrielle; and his many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
