William ‘Mose’ Mosley, retired technician

William “Mose” Mosley, 70, of Millsboro, formerly of West Deptford, N.J., passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, with his wife by his side.

He was born in Scranton, Pa., May 14, 1949, the son of the late William Mosley and Helen Louise (Watson) Mosley.  Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1968-72.  He then worked as an instrumentation technician for Mobil, Valero and PBF Refining before retiring in 2014.  

“Mose” adored his 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle, and often went to local car shows with Michelle and made many friends.  It was one of his favorite things to do along with playing golf with his friends.  He also enjoyed watching NASCAR races and was able to attend one at Dover Downs and the Pocono Raceway.

He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Michelle G. (DiMarco) Mosley; two daughters, Jennifer Pennell and Megan Halscheid and her husband Evan; two stepchildren, Michael Hurst and his fiancée Jaime, and Jillian Hurst and her fiancé Mike; and seven grandchildren, Trevor, Logan, Hannah, Owen, Sam, Alaina and Bryan.  “Mose” is also survived by two sisters, Barbara Baber and her husband John, and Gail Kosinski; a brother, Richard Mosley and his wife Chris; and his mother-in-law, Joan Maurer.  He loved his family and his friends, and will be missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m., with visitation at 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 1, at the First Assembly of God Church, 380 Georgetown Road, Carney’s Point, N.J.  Interment will be held privately at Lawnside Cemetery in Woodstown, N.J.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Bill’s name to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
