William D. Daryman, proud Navy veteran

William Dale Daryman, 90, of Lewes, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Harbor Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Lewes. He was born Oct. 30, 1927, in York, Pa., son of the late Richard and Mary Grace (Saylor) Daryman.

Mr. Daryman proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. He owned and operated the Town Tavern in York for many years. After moving to Lewes, he worked for Lazy Susan's and at Beebe Healthcare as a security guard. He was affectionately known as "Pappy Monster" to his grandkids, whom he adored. Many knew Mr. Daryman as "Cannonball Bill." He also loved his dogs very much. He was a wonderful companion to Linda, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Daryman was preceded in death by his brother Bob Daryman. He is survived by his companion Linda S. Wildasin of Lewes; his daughters: Deb Keiser and her husband Joe, and Diane Bain and her husband Tom, all of York; his son: John Daryman and his wife Vicki of York; his brother Barry Daryman of York; his sister Linda Schiding of Lewes; his five grandchildren; and his eight great-grandchildren.

Services are private. Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
