William Edward Davidson, loved the beach

William Edward Davidson, 85, of Milton, formerly of Beltsville, Md., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, at home.

Bill was born in Short Creek, W.Va., the son of the late Lillie and Robert Davidson. He was a government contractor working at the Office of Naval Intelligence upon his retirement and previously worked at Vitro Corporation.

He attended Crossroad Community Church in Georgetown and enjoyed the fellowship. He loved going to the beach and watching people stroll by on the boardwalk.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Jean Davidson. 

He is survived by his children, Cynthia Sargent and her husband Gary of Md., Randall Davidson and his wife Jennifer of Va., and Charles Davidson and his wife Debbie of Fla.; one brother, Jack Davidson and his wife Rose of Mich.; and 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; and his devoted friend, Linda Lamanna.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 5, at Crossroad Community Church, 20684 State Forest Road, Georgetown. Burial will be private.
