William J. ‘Bill’ Agnor, extremely patriotic

William J. “Bill” Agnor, 84, of Lewes, formerly of Tamaqua, Pa., passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones Tuesday, March 17, 2020.  He was born July 22, 1935, in Coaldale, Pa., son of the late John and Amelia (Kotsull) Agnor.

Mr. Agnor graduated from Tamaqua High School, class of 1953. He completed computer and photography classes in college. Mr. Agnor proudly served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Army National Guard. Following his time in the service, he made his career as a computer systems analyst, from which he retired in 1997. 

Mr. Agnor was extremely patriotic. He was an active member of the Lions Club, Elks Lodge, Danbury Yacht Club and American Legion Post 28. In his spare time, Mr. Agnor enjoyed boating, fishing, camping and traveling. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Agnor was preceded in death by his brother, John Agnor and his wife Jessie McGee; and his nephew, Jeffrey Agnor.  He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Lois (Reinmiller) Agnor of Lewes; his sons: Bruce Agnor of Lewes and Richard Agnor of New Milford, Conn.; his grandchildren: Stacy Davies (Chris) of Baltimore, Md., Heather Giardina (Jean-Claude) of Bethany Beach, Ryan Agnor of Newark, and Zachary and Ben Agnor of New Milford; his great-grandchildren: Carter and Parker Davies, and Alexis and Dominic Giardina; his brother, Robert Agnor (Beverly) of Virginia Beach, Va.; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Mr. Agnor's Life will be held at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Agnor's name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 322 Eighth Ave., 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001.

Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
