William R. Via Sr., Marine Corps veteran

William R. Via Sr. passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019.
William grew up in Cabin John, Md., and graduated from Walter Johnson High School. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served his country in Vietnam.
William is survived by his two children and family, William R. Via Jr. and Staci Via of Georgetown, and Amy Ruble and Mark Ruble of Rixyville, Va.
William had eight grandchildren: Haley Schweers, Cody Ruble, Derik Via, Samantha Via, Faith Ruble, Luke Ruble, Shelby Via, and Melanie Via; and was a great-grandfather to Parker and Payton Schweers.
William helped everyone that he could and left this world the way he wanted with no regret and no shame.
