Willow Construction’s Dave Marsden retires from active duty

June 28, 2020

Willow Construction team members offer congratulations and thanks to one of its project managers, Lt. Col. Dave Marsden, on his recent retirement after 28 years of service.

Marsden started his service career by joining the United States Air Force, where he served five years.

Next he enlisted to serve for the Pennsylvania Air National Guard, where he served 23 years, totaling 28 years of active duty.

Marsden said, “I wanted to serve my country and follow in my father’s footsteps, who served in World War II. Plus, the idea of flying airplanes and seeing the world seemed like a no-brainer. Words cannot describe the fantastic experiences that I’ve had during my career. I’ve been to a lot of really fascinating places, and a lot of not-so-fun places, and met some extraordinary people along the way, some who have become lifelong friends. The people and the camaraderie are what I will miss the most.”

While serving his country, Marsden has also been able to manage many Willow Construction projects in Easton and St. Michaels, Md.
