Wilmer W. Powell, income tax preparer
Wilmer W. Powell, 90, of Frankford, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, in his home.
He was born April 27, 1927, in Frankford, a son of the late Granville Powell and Viola Rogers Powell. For 35 years he worked as a budget analyst for the state of Delaware and after his retirement he worked as an income tax preparer. Mr. Powell was a lifetime member of Millville Volunteer Fire Department.
He is preceded in death by his wife Doris Powell, who passed away in 2016.
Surviving are two sons, Rick Powell (Donna) and Greg Powell (Pam); one daughter, Sharon Davis and her husband Joe; four grandchildren, Ryne Davis, Corey, Cameron and Ricky Powell; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Nov. 12, at 2 p.m., at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Road, Ocean View, where friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Georges Cemetery, Clarksville.
