The death of a woman whose body was found along a Laurel-area roadway has been ruled a homicide.
The Delaware State Police began investigating after the woman’s body was found at 7:24 a.m. March 9 in the area of S. Shell Bridge Road and Broad Creek Estates, said Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe of the Delaware State Police.
The Delaware Division of Forensic Science conducted an autopsy and determined the woman died from a gunshot wound to her upper torso. Police are now investigating the case as a homicide, Jaffe said.
