Women’s Club of Milton donates supplies to local schools

September 4, 2019

Members of the Women’s Club of Milton spent a number of days in early August shopping, packing and loading boxes of school supplies benefitting local Milton schools.

This is the fourth consecutive year the club has participated in this community effort. The supplies will be distributed to the three Milton schools to be used to support student educational needs.

H.O. Brittingham Elementary received binders and page protectors for an initiative in which second- to fifth-grade students develop personal goals toward individual responsibility. Milton Elementary received  50 backpacks and gift bags filled with school supplies. Mariner Middle received materials such as notebook paper, index cards, sticky notes, pens and highlighters which students need throughout the year.

Women's Club of Milton is a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs, one of the world’s oldest and largest women's service organizations dedicated to community improvement through volunteer service. Each club sets its own agenda, and works on projects and programs that address the specific needs of its communities.
