Women’s Club of Indian River installs new members

The GFWC Women's Club of Indian River met Sept. 9 to hear about child advocacy efforts. The club meets at 10 a.m. every second Monday of the month at the Indian River Yacht Club in Millsboro.
The guest speaker was Wendy Myers, handler of Josiah, from the Cricket Center Child Advocacy Group in Worcester County, Md. She talked about canine companions for children and how the dogs are trained to help young people who have suffered abuse.
Installed as new members were Mindy Goss, Mil Garcia, Moyq Stritzl and Judy Mullen.
