Women’s Club of Milton supports community food pantry

February 5, 2019

Representatives from the Women's Club of Milton came to the Milton Community Food Pantry at Goshen Hall Jan. 21 to deliver donations, and they stayed to help organize. Volunteers sorted, checked expiration dates, recorded donations, stored them on shelves and doubled plastic bags to be used on distribution day.

Milton Community Food Pantry extends thanks to the club for its continued support and assistance.

On average, the food pantry sees 80 or more families, amounting to about 240 adults and children, each week. The goal is to provide enough food so each person has three meals a day for three days. That is a lot of food.

The food pantry is able to do this because individuals, local businesses and churches donate food and money to the cause. To make a donation, find @MCFP on Facebook or mail a check payable to Milton Community Food Pantry, PO Box 84, Milton, DE 19968.
