Women charged in Georgetown burglaries

Two Sussex County women face charges after police say they took items from two Georgetown residences in early November. Police are searching for a third woman in connection with the burglaries.

Kathy Hunsucker, 45, of Selbyville, and Christina Harvey, 49, of Dagsboro, broke into two homes in the unit block of Leah Street, Fish Hook Mobile Home Park, Georgetown, and took purses, jewelry, and other various items before fleeing, said Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe of the Delaware State Police.

On Dec. 4, Hunsucker was taken into custody on Power Plant Road, Dagsboro without incident; Harvey turned herself in at Troop 4 a day later.

Both Hunsucker and Harvey were charged with two counts second-degree burglary, possession of burglar tools, two counts of felony theft, two counts of second-degree conspiracy and criminal mischief. Hunsucker and Harvey were arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution - Hunsucker in default of $16,500 secured bond for violation of probation charges, and Harvey in default of $25,700 secured bond.

Through the investigation, Jaffe said, a third woman was identified in connection with the burglaries. Police are searching for Jennifer Robinson, 40, of Selbyville, in connection with five burglaries, Jaffe said.
