Women's empowerment retreat goes virtual Feb. 26-27

Last year's Embody the Goddess women’s retreat hosted an intimate group of 50 women for a weekend of transformation and empowerment at the Virden Retreat Center.

This year, due to COVID-19 safety concerns surrounding large gatherings, the event will be held virtually Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 26 and 27.

A collective group of shamanic practitioners, therapists, herbalists, professors, dancers, feng shui practitioners, beauty experts and yoga therapists will lead interactive transformational workshops. Virtual attendees will receive access to the live sessions as well as recordings and a printable retreat workbook.

One 2020 attendee said, "The goddess retreat February 2020 was nothing short of beautiful, magical and heart-opening. So much care was put into every detail, and it really showed.”

This year, the retreat hosts are excited to bring the magic and connections to a wider community via Zoom. They are bringing in more experts, more dance and an innovative virtual photo booth provided by Texas-based Picture Me SA, helping participants create keepsake moments to share and remember.
