Sponsored by Delaware Money School
September 18, 2019

The Delaware Money School will host Your Brain On Investments from 5 to 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 26, at Lewes Public Library, 111 Adams Ave., featuring Robert Jeter, CFP, CRPC, of InFocus Financial Advisors Inc.

The course will examine the intersection of cognitive biases and how people make decisions with money. Jeter will talk about why investors don’t like to take risks, strategies to help circumvent risk averseness, why checking the phone makes things worse, and many other behavioral quirks that affect investment results and money decisions.

The Money School, the signature program of the Delaware Financial Literacy Institute, provides more than 650 no-cost financial and business start-up classes and events across the state each year.  Class topics range from simple budgeting and saving to investing and retirement planning, and everything in between. Hassle-free, sales-free classes are taught by volunteers from the nonprofit, financial and government sectors.
