Two people face murder charges in connection with the shooting of a 19-year-old Bridgeville man in August.

Preston W. Nailor, 35, of Georgetown and Brooke L. Squatrito, 20, of Bridgeville were arrested on Sept. 29 for setting up an alleged drug deal that led to a shooting, said Master Cpl. Gary Fournier of the Delaware State Police.

Fournier said Squatrito set up a meeting with Tyron Lake so that Nailor could rob Lake. Nailor and Lake met alone at a predetermined location, and Nailor entered Lake's passenger seat to conduct the alleged drug deal, Fournier said.

During the exchange, he said, the two shot at each other, resulting in Lake's death. Nailor then dialed 9-1-1 to report that he had been shot.

Nailor and Squatrito were both charged with first-degree murder, first-degree attempted robbery, two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and second-degree conspiracy. They were both arraigned at Justice of the Peace court 2 and committed to Delaware Department of Correction; Nailor on $1,182,000 cash bond and Squatrito on $652,000 cash bond.
