The three were lying on the tracks at 12:44 a.m. near the 600 block of North Bedford Street when they were hit by a Carload Express train traveling northbound, said Detective Joey Melvin of the Georgetown Police Department.

Cecilia Vincencio-Cruz, 33, of Georgetown was pronounced dead; Widmer Robiero-Ortiz, 29, and Mario Niz-Lopez, 25, both of Georgetown, were taken to Christiana where they are in critical condition, Melvin said.
