The Delaware Association of Realtors announced that Bruce Plummer of Lewes has been named the 2018 Delaware Realtor of the Year.
DAR President Bayard Williams presented the award during the association’s annual convention and trade show held at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino.
The award honors the Delaware Realtor whose outstanding service has delivered positive impact to Realtor organizations on the national, state and local levels as well as the real estate industry and community. Plummer was 2017 president of DAR and served on national, state and local committees throughout the year, including those focused on professional standards and public policy. He holds numerous designations and certifications granted by the National Association of Realtors, including Accredited Buyer’s Representative, Certified Real Estate Broker, and Certified Residential Specialist. He is the broker and chief operating officer of Coldwell Banker Resort Realty. Plummer will represent Delaware at the upcoming NAR Annual Conference & Expo in Boston.
Skip Faust of Lewes was among three other Realtors who were recognized at the DAR convention for volunteer efforts that had a positive impact in their local communities. Faust, Terri Sensing from New Castle County and Monica LeBlanc from Kent County were named 2018 Good Neighbors by members of their local Realtor associations.
This award honors Realtors who work to improve the quality of life for their neighbors and demonstrate a commitment to make their communities better places to live. A $1,000 donation was made by DAR to the charity of choice by each, and included the Lewes Little League in Lewes, Good Neighbor Home Repair Inc. in New Castle County and the Kent County Chapter of American Bikers Aiming Toward Education.
Other housing and community organizations recognized during the convention’s general membership meeting were the Delaware State Housing Authority, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware, and the Delaware Housing Opportunity Fund Inc.
