Fork and Flask event to benefit Pathways to Success Jan. 21

Fork and Flask at Nage will host a dine and donate fundraiser to benefit Pathways to Success at 4 p.m., Monday, Jan. 21. A total of 15 percent of sales through 1 a.m. will be donated to this Delaware nonprofit organization that assists students in jeopardy of not graduating from high school. There will also be a 50/50 drawing to raise funds.

“We are very excited to continue to give back to our local school district and to be able to do so alongside Pathways to Success and Sposato Family Vineyards. The community has always supported us, and the least we can do is thank them by giving back to organizations like PTS who are doing great things for Sussex County,” said Sean Corea, executive chef and general manager of Fork and Flask.

Mondays are Fork and Flask’s Banging Bonarda Burger Night with Sposato Family Vineyards.  Karen Sposato, who is a supporter of Pathways to Success, will be on hand to welcome everyone along with the Pathways to Success team.
 
Pathways to Success first began helping students at Sussex Tech in 2008, and then expanded its program to Cape Henlopen and Seaford high schools and new this year, Milford High School. With a Pathways administrator at each one of the schools, this all-encompassing program is based on genuinely caring about students who are at risk for not graduating. With a 98 percent graduation rate and 96 percent of the graduates attending college, going into the military or finding jobs, the program has been quite successful.
 
Fay Blake, Pathways to Success executive director, said, “We cannot thank Fork and Flask enough for supporting Pathways to Success and the youth we serve at Cape Henlopen High School. This is an excellent example of a local company giving back to the local community. We plan to reach out to restaurants in the Georgetown, Milford and Seaford areas to raise funds for our programs at Sussex Tech, Milford High School and Seaford High School.”
