The City of Rehoboth Beach announced the 2019 Summer Concert Series, the 57th season of the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand. Held every Friday, Saturday and Sunday all summer long, free Bandstand performances are sponsored by the city for everyone to enjoy. All concerts begin at 8 p.m.and conclude at 9:15 pm.

This year’s series includes a variety of entertainment spanning the decades and covering almost every genre. From swing to modern rock, classic ‘70s to today’s hits, and Elton John to Elvis, there will be entertainment sure to please everyone in the family. The City of Rehoboth Beach invites everyone to visit this summer and enjoy the wonderful recreational opportunities.

Tribute acts are a feature this year with some newcomers to this area as well as local favorites. Concert-goers will enjoy tribute groups offering the sounds of Elton John, the Beach Boys, Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons, Jimmy Buffett, Elvis, The Doobie Brothers, Fleetwood Mac, and even Earth, Wind & Fire.

Hosting three concerts during Memorial Day weekend, the summer series gets a jump-start on the musical entertainment. Mike Hines & the Look brings an exciting mix of top 40 and oldies from a local and well-respected entertainer. The United States Navy Band Country Current performs popular country and bluegrass hits. The return of the Jamie McLean Band rounds out the opening weekend. After a quick break, the season jumps into full swing Friday, June 14, with Love Seed Mama Jump, always a local favorite.

Popular acts are making a return to the stage, featuring regional and national touring acts such as the ‘70s Flashback Band, Kategory 5 Band, the Jimmies ‘80s Flashback Band, North of Mason Dixon, Groove Train, Fabulous Hubcaps, the Billy Price Charm City Rhythm Band, and Big House Band featuring Jimi Milligan from NBC’s “The Voice.”

“This year’s lineup is really exciting,” said Program Director Corey Groll. “With such a range of talented musicians and entertainers, there is certainly enough to choose from. We hope all families are able to enjoy the free entertainment that the City of Rehoboth Beach offers during the summer months.” All events are sponsored by the City of Rehoboth Beach.
