A Maryland woman faces felony drug charges following a traffic stop June 12 on Route 1 near Rehoboth Beach.
Monique Fulton, 34, was stopped on Route 1 after failing to stop at a red light at Midway Outlet Drive, said Senior Cpl. Heather Pepper of the Delaware State Police.
Police contacted Fulton and a passenger, 34, before searching her and her vehicle, Pepper said. Inside the car, she said, police found about 33.3 grams of cocaine, a large quantity of small plastic Ziploc-style bags commonly used for packaging narcotics for distribution, and about 0.94 grams of ecstasy.
Fulton was taken into custody without incident and taken to Troop 7 where she was charged with felony possession with intent to deliver controlled substance, felony possession of controlled substance, possession of Controlled Substance and other charges. She was arraigned and released on $64,501.00 unsecured bond.
