A Rehoboth Beach man faces charges July 28 after police say he pulled a knife on a hotel employee.
Christopher Campbell, 26, was at the Holiday Inn Express at 18438 Kates Lane at 12:53 a.m. when he confronted a hotel employee, 26, in the lobby, said Cpl. Jason Hatchell of the Delaware State Police.
Campbell appeared to be in distress and threatened the employee verbally before lunging at him with a knife, Hatchell said. The employee was able to wrestle the knife away from Campbell and hold him down until police arrived, Hatchell said.
The victim was unharmed, and the knife was recovered at the scene, Hatchell said.
Campbell was taken into custody and charged with felony aggravated menacing and disorderly conduct. He was arraigned and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $2,750 secured bond.
