RAL debuts The Quiet Hour at Rehoboth City Hall Sept. 24
The Rehoboth Art League invites the public from 5 to 6 p.m., Friday, Sept. 24, to Rehoboth Beach City Hall to celebrate the opening of a new exhibition, The Quiet Hour, which is debuting on the mezzanine. This juried members’ showcase represents the inspiring natural beauty of the Delmarva coast. Member artists were tasked with finding their own creative representations of the ever-changing and idyllic coastline, from Lewes to Rehoboth and points in between.
These selected works, which represent mediums including photography, acrylic painting, pastel painting and mixed media, capture shimmering sunrises, marsh grasses swaying in the breeze, and the colorful coastline. “The viewer will experience a sense of peace and reflection from the calming subject matter depicted in each painting,” says Nick Serratore, exhibitions director at the Rehoboth Art League.
The Quiet Hour will be on display at Rehoboth Beach City Hall in the Mezzanine Gallery through Nov. 21, and is open to the public daily Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Rehoboth Art League is supported, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
