Georgetown-Millsboro Rotary grant applications due March 31

March 18, 2010

The Georgetown-Millsboro Rotary Club is now accepting grant applications from nonprofit organizations. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, March 31.

The club awards grants of up to several thousand dollars on a semiannual cycle to organizations demonstrating that they serve people in need. The club’s grants committee selects the winners from among the applications based on financial need as well as specific information about how the money will be used directly to help people. Grant applicants should be from either the Georgetown or Millsboro ZIP codes.

Grant applications should be mailed to Reid Beveridge, 2 Alabama Ave., Milton, DE 19968, or to the club at P.O. Box 164, Georgetown, DE 19947. Application forms may be obtained at gmrotary.org or by fax by calling Beveridge at 302-684-8834.

The Georgetown-Millsboro Rotary Club raises the money for these grants as well as scholarships for high school seniors through two major events each year.

The grants committee will meet in April and announce its results after they are approved by the club’s board of directors later in the month.
