Second annual Egg Hunt set April 19 in Lewes Canalfront Park

April 11, 2014

Friends of Lewes Canalfront Park invite local families to hop on over to the park for the second annual Egg Hunt, 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 19, when thousands of eggs filled with candy, trinkets, and treasures will be hidden throughout the park.

The Egg Hunt will begin at 11 a.m, but come at 10 a.m. for many activities including photos with the Easter Bunny, face painting and balloon artistry.

Tickets are $5 per child and the event is recommended for kids 10 years old and under. Advance purchase is encouraged as the event is limited to 400 children, and last year's event sold out. For tickets, which may be purchased using Pay Pal, and information, go to www.lewescanalfrontpark.org and click on the Events page.

Since there will be no printed tickets, attendees should arrive no later than 10:45 a.m. to check in for participation in the Egg Hunt. The Egg Hunt is the first of many exciting events that the Friends of Lewes Canalfront Park is organizing, with many others in May including Pooches in the Park, Fitness and Fun, weekly yoga on Sunday mornings and Zumba on Wednesday evenings. One of the best annual events in the Cape Region, Picnic in the Park, is scheduled for June 1.

Lewes Canalfront Park, on the banks of the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal, is on Front Street in Lewes.  The Friends welcome new members and volunteers. For more information go to www.lewescanalfrontpark.org, like the park on Facebook, or call the information hotline at 302-645-2795.
