(Cape May, NJ)  Today, Cape May – Lewes Ferry officials announced that the 50th Anniversary commemorative laser-engraved bricks are selling fast and only a week remains for customers to order bricks to be part of the dedication ceremony scheduled for late June 2014.  These legacy bricks will be installed in a decorative pattern at the entrance of both Ferry Terminals.  Brick reservations continue through April 21, 2014.

“We’re extremely pleased with the level of interest in our legacy brick program,” said Heath Gehrke, Director of Ferry Operations.  “It’s exciting to see so many customers and fans who want to be part of our 50th Anniversary Celebration.  The legacy brick program is really catching on and we hope everyone who wanted to be part of this unique opportunity doesn’t miss the boat!”

Gehrke added that the legacy bricks have been used in a variety of ways.  “We’ve received brick orders containing happy birthday wishes, remembering a great family vacation at the shore and even a marriage proposal,” Gehrke said.  Other personalized brick messages include happy anniversary wishes; in memory of a loved one; or honor a great employee

The bricks are available in one standard size.  The 4” x 8” brick will cost $50 and fans will have the opportunity to personalize the brick.  The bricks have a three line capacity for text, with a maximum of 20 characters per line including spaces and punctuation. In addition, replica and mini-bricks can be purchased as a family keepsake for $50 and $15 respectively.

Corporate brick sponsorships are also available using an array of two (2) or four (4) 4”x 8” standard bricks at a cost.  The Cape May – Lewes Ferry will hold a dedication ceremony to unveil the commemorative brick designs at the ferry terminals in late June 2014.  For more information on the commemorative brick program or to order your personalized legacy brick, please visit us at www.cmlf.com  or call toll free 800 64 FERRY.
