The Shaffer Family Foundation is highlighting each of the Beneficiaries we are Supporting at The 3rd Annual Rally for Our First Responders. The Rally will take place on Saturday, June 1, 2024 (rain date is Sunday, June 2, 2024) at Hudson Fields, Milton, DE. Tickets are on sale NOW!
Lewes Fire Department is one of our 12 Beneficiaries.
The Lewes Fire Department is a 100% volunteer fire and rescue organization.
The Fire Chief gets an operational budget each year. This year, as usual, they have a need to replace ten sets of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for their members. This is our firefighting gear and roughly costs about $20K to outfit just 1 Fire Fighter.
The Lewes Fire Department are hoping to accept donations to offset the large expense of PPE/turnout gear this year.
