‘Little Men’ to open at Cinema Art Theater Aug. 26

August 24, 2016

The Rehoboth Beach Film Society's Cinema Art Theater will present "Little Men," a drama that portrays how a rapidly changing neighborhood can have a dissimilar impact on two families. Screening times are 4 p.m., Friday-Sunday Aug. 26-28 and Wednesday, Aug. 31, and 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept 1. Tickets can be purchased at the Cinema Art Theater starting 30 minutes prior to each screening. Admission for a screening is $8 for RBFS members and $10 for future members.

Jake (Theo Taplitz) is a quiet, sensitive middle school student with dreams of being an artist. When his grandfather dies, his family moves from Manhattan back into his father's old Brooklyn home. There he meets the affably brash Tony (Michael Barbieri) and the unlikely pair soon hit it off. However, Jake's parents Brian (Greg Kinnear) and Kathy (Jennifer Ehle) are the landlords for the dress shop run by Tony's single mom, Leonor (Paulina Garcia). The bond of the boy's friendship is tested when a rent dispute between Brian and Leonor threatens to become contentious. 'Little Men' made its world premiere at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival.

All screenings are held at the Cinema Art Theater at 17701 Dartmouth Drive in Dartmouth Plaza, behind the Lewes Wawa.
