Allen Harim seeks summer interns to start in June, deadline to apply is May 24

May 23, 2017

Allen Harim, a leading producer of No Antibiotic Ever chicken on Delmarva, is looking for college students interested in paid summer internships.

The 13-week internship program starts in June, and will be in one of four different areas: Live Operations, Production and Plant Management, Strategic Sourcing, and Information Technologies.

Live Operations would involve the company's hatcheries, feed mill and working with contract growers. Production and Plant Management would require interns to work alongside plant management in the Harbeson processing plant. An internship in Strategic Sourcing would expose the intern to the procurement process, and the stages of bidding and executing a contract. For Information Technologies, the intern would make improvements to the IT Help Desk System.

"We are offering an internship program to help provide a path toward a career in the poultry industry and the opportunities that exist on Delmarva," said Joe Moran, president and CEO of Allen Harim.

Students must be enrolled full time and maintain at least a C average in their classwork. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, May 24. For more information, go to AllenHarimLLC.com.
