Bayhealth welcomes new human resources executive

Bayhealth has named Darlene Stone, CHHR, SHRM-SCP, as its newly appointed senior vice president, chief human resources officer. 

Stone joins Bayhealth from Stormont Vail Health in Topeka, Kan., where she most recently served as senior vice president, chief experience officer. Prior to her time with Stormont Vail Health, Stone spent six years serving as vice president, chief human resources officer at Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, Fla.

Murphy, FACHE, Bayhealth president and CEO. “Darlene is a transformative leader who comes to Bayhealth with over 30 years of human resources experience. Her deeply held commitment to fostering and developing a workforce that is diverse, equitable and inclusive as well as her focus on retaining our top talent will ensure an engaging workplace for all our team members.”

In her new role with Bayhealth, Stone will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in the acquisition, development, engagement, reward and recognition, and retention of a highly competent, patient-focused workforce. She will also lead all human resources operations including business partnerships, employee relations, DEI, health and wellness, and childcare services.

Stone earned her bachelors of business administration from Texas A&M University and a master’s degree of business administration from University of Phoenix. She is a certified Just Culture Champion, certified in healthcare human resources by the American Hospital Association, and a senior certified professional in human resources by the Society for Human Resources Management.
