Beacon hockey slips by Dover 1-0

October 14, 2017

Beacon eighth-grader Noelle Sabbagh put in her 10th goal of the season to give the Vikings a 1-0 victory over Dover Oct. 11 at home.

“”Dru [Buehler] came up with the ball and looked up at the top of the circle to make a pass,” said Sabbagh. “I received the ball and took the shot inside of the left post.”

“I was really impressed with the team’s willingness to never give up,” said Beacon coach Dom Scott. “And their ability to play clean and strong ‘til the final whistle. The entire team showed a lot of determination and heart today. Together we are better.”

The Lady Vikings move to 5-1 on the season with the victory and the 1-0 win over Georgetown Oct. 9. Buehler scored the lone goal in that contest.

The Vikings will travel to Laurel Monday, Oct. 16, to face Laurel Intermediate Middle School.
