Beacon Middle presents ‘Guys and Dolls Junior’

April 10, 2017

With the financial assistance of a Cape Henlopen Educational Foundation arts grant, Beacon Middle School presented its first musical, "Guys And Dolls Junior" March 24-26. Zachary Coffman was director and Juleeann Schlitter was musical director.

Coffman said, "Beacon Middle School was proud to produce our first-ever musical production. The show, centered around gamblers and missionaries in the 1930s, examined the idea that by accepting differences and giving the unknown a chance, a community can ultimately come together for the better, and accomplish something that was once thought to be a lost cause. We were thrilled to entertain the community for an evening at the theater, and we hope this production is the beginning of a long, rich tradition here at Beacon."

The Beacon performers rehearsed daily after school. They performed to a full house for each show.
