Bellmoor Inn hosts Dover AFB veterans and families

November 22, 2017

The Bellmoor Inn and Spa hosted Dover Air Force Base veterans and their families this weekend in honor of Veterans Day 2017. Ten families were chosen to receive a complimentary weekend stay and 50 percent off spa services in honor of their service in the military.

To pick the families who were honored, organizers worked with Dawne Nickerson-Banez, DAFB chief of community relations. "It is always a pleasure to facilitate fun events for the airmen. Strong community support is something we highly value here at Dover AFB, and we so appreciate the Bellmoor providing an opportunity for our airmen to get away from the mission for a couple of days and relax," said Nickerson-Banez.

Several of the airmen and their families took advantage of the discount at the spa to help melt away stress. Bellmoor’s spa offers a variety of services from rejuvenating facials to full-body massages, body scrubs, couples' treatments and spa packages. Also, every overnight stay includes complimentary breakfast, which seemed to be a big hit among the veterans.

One of the recipients of the getaway was Courtney Nameth. "The Bellmoor was amazing! The room was gorgeous and breakfast was so good. Being able to get away with my husband means everything to me," said Nameth.

Josh York, who brought his family with him, was thankful for the opportunity. "We had a wonderful family weekend getaway at the Bellmoor Inn and Spa. The staff was excellent and the breakfast was awesome. Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity, and we appreciate your hospitality," said York.

"This was a wonderful opportunity to give back to the men and women who serve our country in the military," said General Manager Benjamin Gray. "The owners of the Bellmoor have a history of philanthropic giving, and this one is especially close to their hearts."
