Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge 2540 and Boy Scout Troop 2540 hosted Flag Day and Americanism Award ceremony June 16. The patriotic service was held to celebrate the history of the American Flag and the meaning of the 13 folds of the flag.
The Boy Scouts presented the flags during the history of each and folded the flag for presentation. At the close of the program, flags were retired behind the lodge in a ceremonial fashion.
