Broadway star Rosemary Loar to perform at Milton Theatre April 28

April 21, 2018

For Rosemary Loar, jazz is a smorgasbord, a feast of incredible tastes and textures. In “The Quando Swing,” Loar makes it her business to give her audience the opportunity to sample each and every one of those exotic flavors. She offers laughter and fun, poignancy and reflection, and an evening of wonderful music.

Audience members will experience an amazing performance with Rosemary Loar in “The Quando Swing” at 8 p.m., Saturday, April 28, at Milton Theatre.

Loar’s theatrical expertise was honed on Broadway and national tours. She was in the original casts of “Sunset Boulevard” starring Glenn Close, “You Can’t Take It With You” starring Jason Robards, “Cats” as Grizabella and more.

Her program will remind audiences of the light effervescence of Ella Fitzgerald, the smoldering intensity of Billie Holiday and the haunting tones of Peggy Lee. And she adds her own quirky and spontaneous sense of humor.

Tickets are $13-$20. For more information or to purchase tickets, go to www.MiltonTheatre.com or call 302-684-3038.
