The Cape Henlopen girls’ soccer team hosted its end-of-the-season awards banquet May 21 at The Cultured Pearl in Rehoboth Beach. Cape coach Patrick Kilby and assistants Kara Newham, Marisa Atkins and Gary Montalto presented awards for the team’s accomplishments. Cape Gazette photographer and former Cape teacher Dan Cook acted as guest speaker for the event. Awards given were JV MVP Clarice Boslet, Offensive MVP Brooke Hollingsworth, Defensive MVP Claire Rasin and Team MVP Lucy Siranides. All-conference and all-state picks were also announced. Team members, parents and friends enjoyed a buffet dinner hosted by the Cape soccer boosters.
