Friends sponsor 10th annual chocolate tasting to fund projects, transportation

Proceeds from the 10th annual Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park chocolate tasting will go to replenish the Richard and Mirth Thatcher Education Fund, which helps fund transportation so Sussex County school groups can participate in the park’s educational programs. This year’s event, held at the Biden Center, featured chocolates of every description as well as raffles and baked goods. The Friends are an advocate to educate people about the park to promote appreciation, conservation and preservation. In addition, the group raises money for park projects such as the Bike Barn, restoration of the Hawk Watch and a recently completed playground.
