Celebration 2017 to benefit seven local nonprofits Oct. 4 in Rehoboth

All are welcome
September 8, 2017

Planning is well underway for Celebration 2017, set for 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 4, at the Atlantic Sands Hotel on the Boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach. Presented by the Episcopal Church Women of All Saints' Church in Rehoboth Beach and St. George's Chapel in Harbeson, and co-sponsored by the Atlantic Sands Hotel, this fundraising event replaces the long-running Rehoboth Christmas Shop while allowing the ECW to continue their ministry of compassionate support in the community.

The Atlantic Sands has graciously offered the use of the Swan Ballroom where guests will socialize while enjoying delicious food donated by local restaurants, beverages, various raffles and an entertaining fashion show with clothes from the parish thrift shops.

Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit seven local nonprofits. Immanuel Shelter serves homeless men and women in eastern Sussex County. Camp Arrowhead is the parish's diocesan summer camp on Rehoboth Bay. The Community Resource Center was created in 2011 to provide individuals in crisis with emergency assistance.

Crisis House Shelter has provided shelter and supportive services for individuals and families since 1981. The Way Home Program helps former inmates transition home from prison and rebuild their lives. The West Rehoboth Children and Youth Program promotes literacy, learning and health in after-school and summer programs. The National Alliance on Mental Illness-Delaware provides compassionate resources and programs for those suffering from mental illness.

Tickets will be sold at the door, and invitations will be mailed out. All are welcome. For more information, call All Saints' and St. George's at 302-227-7202 or go to www.allsaintsandstgeorges.org.
