"We have a long and dedicated commitment to the arts and to the Coastal Camera Club."

With about 10 members at its inception, the club grew to about 25 in 2008 and has since mushroomed to its present membership of approximately 260 amateur photographers. The club places an emphasis on learning and sharing for all levels of ability, as well as encouraging active participation in the education of fellow members through sharing of skills and experiences. It also holds monthly programs featuring guest speakers from across the region who are recognized experts in all phases of photography.

Janet Evancho, exhibit coordinator for Coastal Camera Club, said, "We are really looking forward to showcasing the tremendous talent of our members at the artists' finale and to enjoying the special occasion with Cadbury. We've been very involved with Cadbury for years. In addition to our annual exhibit, many of our members take photos of the community, its grounds, residents and their pets. It's a mutually beneficial relationship."

The club sponsors participative workshops and outings several times a year on a variety of topics aimed at advancing the capabilities of its members. There are monthly competitions and a variety of themed categories in both print and digital media. Every month, members vie for recognition culminating in a year-end closing competition and the award of the Photograph and Photographers of the Year. In addition to Cadbury, the club also has exhibits at Nassau Valley Vineyards and Ocean Medical Imaging.
