Coldwell Banker Bethany Beach hosts adoption event to benefit pets displaced by hurricanes

September 24, 2017

Agents and staff from Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage's Bethany Beach office joined together with the Brandywine Valley SPCA to host a dog adoption event featuring dogs from local shelters as well as shelters in Houston and Florida.

The event, which was attended by about 100 people, saw a total of seven dogs adopted by families excited to offer their new furry friends a home.

"I didn't originally expect that animals would be coming from Texas and Florida in areas that were affected by the hurricanes," said Greg Goldman, an agent affiliated with Coldwell Banker's Bethany Beach office and one of the organizers of the adoption event. "It's great to know that, even here in Delaware, there are things we can do to help."

"We're thrilled to be able to host this event," said Stephanie Talbott, branch vice president at Coldwell Banker's Bethany Beach office. "The SPCA is a great organization and we're proud to support their work."

"This was a terrific event to help us reach more families in the area," said Linda Torelli, director of marketing and programs at the Brandywine Valley SPCA. "And there are seven dogs that are especially grateful since they're now with the forever families they met there."
