Colleen Carew joins Adams Radio Delmarva

September 16, 2017

Adams Radio Group has named radio veteran Colleen Carew as the new program director and midday personality of the WGBG Big Classic Rock in Salisbury-Ocean City, Md. Carew comes to Adams from 100.7 The Bay in Baltimore where she has spent the past 13 years doing middays on Baltimore's premier classic rock station. Prior to The Bay, Carew spent several years at 98 Rock, also in Baltimore. Carew started her radio career on the Eastern Shore and was part of the team that launched WZBH The Beach.

Carew said, "Get ready to have some fun with me on the radio at my new favorite station Big 98.5, Delmarva's Classic Rock. I'm certainly not new to the area, but it's been awhile and I've missed you. I love that my career has come full circle because I love Delmarva - the people, the vibe, the businesses, and oh yeah - the beach."

Paul Burton, vice president and general manager of Adams Radio, said, "We are thrilled to have Colleen on board. Not to sound silly, but she completes us. We have spent a lot of time in the past couple of months resetting some things and preparing for the next phase of our growth. We all know growth does not happen without the right team, and now we have it. Colleen will take Big to new heights."

Carew replaces Laura Lee, who has been interim program director since the August departure of Johnny Maze.
