Connor Filicko and Old Soul Blues Band to play at Milton Theatre Aug. 20

August 17, 2017

Milton’s own Connor Filicko makes music that is raw and meaningful. Every chord played on his guitar, every note blown through his harmonica, every lyric sung into the microphone are all based on his perspectives in life and on being down and out. He and the Old Soul Blues Band will be taking the Milton Theatre stage at 8 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 20.

Filicko has taken his talent across the country, including to The International Blues Challange in Memphis, Tenn. He is currently studying music technology at George Mason University in Northern Virginia. Among his major influences are the Rolling Stones, Parliament-Funkadelic, Roxy Music, Neil Young, Muddy Waters, Billie Holiday, Little Walter, Steve Winwood and others.

The Old Soul Blues Band was the band that played with him on his first CD released a few years ago. It features Connor Filicko on harmonica, guitar, and vocals, together with Ed (The Mississippi Bull Frog) White on baritone sax and flute, Jesse Morgan on bass guitar, Tim Arnold on lead guitar and Sam Siebert on drums. The show will have a repertoire featuring twangy guitars, straight smokey Chicago blues, rock ‘n’ roll, and electrifying funk, with a touch of jazz influence.

Tickets are $5-$15. For more information or to purchase tickets, go to www.MiltonTheatre.com or call 302-684-3038.
