David L. Wright, avid fisherman

April 30, 2018

David L. Wright, 56, of Milton, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 29, 2018, at his home, after a long battle with brain cancer. He was born Friday, Sept. 8, 1961, in Wilmington, son of the late Roy and Nancy (Eashum) Wright.

Dave grew up in Newark, and vacationed in Lewes and Rehoboth Beach throughout his childhood. As a teenager he would catch bait and sell it to local stores.

While working for SuperFresh in Newark, Dave was delighted to be transfered to the Rehoboth Beach location, as his passions were always fishing and boating. He worked as a store director for SuperFresh, then Acme in Ocean City, Md. He was loved and appreciated by his coworkers. Above all, Dave cherished the time spent with his family and dear friends. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, who was loved by many, and will be genuinely missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy King. He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy "Dottie" (Zink) Wright; his children: Nicole, Dylan and Lance; and his grandchildren: Jameson and Benjamin.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date to be announced. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Lewes.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Dave's memory to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
