Dec. 16 cookie walk fundraiser to support choir trip to Ely Cathedral

St. Peter’s group chosen to sing at bishop’s seat in Cambridgeshire, England
December 3, 2017

Too busy to bake at this hectic time of year? Looking for a unique gift for a holiday host? Seeking a sweet treat to enjoy with family and friends? For those who answered yes to any of the above, St. Peter's Episcopal Church is hosting a cookie walk from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 16, in the parish hall at the corner of Second and Mulberry streets in Lewes.

Hundreds of homemade, beautifully decorated holiday cookies will be for sale. Cookie aficionados can fill a large box for $10 or a small one for $5. Sugar cookies, gingerbread men, chocolate kisses, molasses crinkles, shortbread, and toffee almond sandies are just a few of the scrumptious varieties that will be available.

Proceeds will enable members of St. Peter's choir to take part in a musical residency at Ely Cathedral in Cambridgeshire, England, in August 2018. Being selected for the residency is a great honor for the choir led by Minister of Music TJ Thomas. St. Peter's choristers had to submit an audition tape before being chosen to sing at services for a week, substituting for the cathedral choir.
