Delaware Tech communications students take part in Phillies College Media Night

October 16, 2017

Students from the Delaware Technical Community College Communications Program recently participated in Phillies College Media Night at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. Students were invited to a social hour where they met Matt Bourne, vice president of business communications for Major League Baseball; Scott Braun, MLB Network host and reporter; Bonnie Clark, vice president of communications for the Phillies; Gregg Murphy, Phillies broadcaster; and Paul Hagen, national MLB.com reporter. Then the students attended the evening's game to watch the Phillies take on the Marlins.

"This is our third trip to this event, and we feel very fortunate to provide this level of connectivity for our students," said Communications Department Chair Rob Rector. "It's a great opportunity for them to meet those in the field that they are studying and see that their current academic efforts can pay off in big ways."
