Dewey Beer Company opens Colorado taproom in Denver

January 25, 2024

Ranked the No. 1 favorite brewery in the First State by Delaware drinkers according to beer-rating app Untappd, Dewey Beer Co. announced the opening of a new taproom location in Denver’s RiNo neighborhood.

After a fun and successful pop-up taproom experience during the Great American Beer Festival in October, Dewey Beer Co. has opened in the former Mockery Brewery space at 3501 Delgany St., Denver.

Dewey Beer opened in 2015 in Dewey Beach. It began distributing beer in Colorado in 2022 with wholesale partner Colorado Craft Distributors, with the concept of connecting the brewery’s beach lifestyle and vibe with the culture and adventures of Colorado’s mountains.

Dewey Beer Colorado will be pouring a full menu of its unique lineup of IPAs, lagers and fruit smoothie beers as well as several limited-release beers that will only be served at the brewpub. Once fully operational, the Denver taproom will begin brewing on-premise and releasing Colorado taproom-exclusive beers.

A few highlights include: El Trono, a crushable Mexican lager; Dewey’s signature hazy IPA, Swishy Pants; the brand-new West Coast Style IPA Sun Camp; and specialty winter releases such as Secret Machine: Cherry Cobbler a la Mode and Secret Machine: Baked Alaska, plus Bake Club dessert stout series.

The Dewey Beer Colorado Taproom is open on a daily schedule, and will feature food trucks and regular events. Beers will be available on draft to enjoy at the taproom, and a selection of canned beers and merchandise will be available to take home.

Founders/owners Scot Kaufman, Mike Reilly and Brandon Smith are looking forward to hosting everyone for a grand opening party Saturday, Feb. 24, to celebrate the new Dewey Beer Colorado location. For more information, go to deweybeerco.com.
